With every passing day, more people are looking to the cut the cord with their cable and satellite TV providers in favor of streaming solutions. This has led to some intense competition among streaming set-top box and dongle providers, along with standalone services such as Netflix and Hulu. Amazon Prime started out as a nifty little program that offered members free 2-day shipping on millions of qualifying items. That perk still applies, though Prime has become so much more. It's also worked its way up to a full fledged streaming video service, and through a new partnership program that ties in with Prime, members can bundle in premium content from the likes of Showtime, Starz, and others. Google's little HDMI Chromecast dongle has been on the market for just over a year now, and as much as we liked it when it first came out, it's even better today. That's thanks to a constant stream up of updates. Hundres of apps have been added, such as HBO Go and Pandora, to name just two of many, and with the most recent update, even more have joined the fray.
