Intel has quietly introduced a boatload of 11th Gen NUC products (NUC 11 series) with Tiger Lake processors inside. There are 44 new models in all, spread across Intel's Pro, Performance, and Enthusiast spectrum. We are not going to cover all 44 NUC systems in detail, though we do want to highlight the NUC 11 Enthusiast mini PC, because of its graphics. Codenamed Panther Canyon (as previously leaked), the NUC 11 Enthusiast combines a quad-core 11th Generation Core i7-1165G7 Tiger Lake processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. Sure, the graphics chip is based on NVIDIA's previous generation Turing architecture rather than Ampere, but it is an enticing combination nonetheless. The appeal here... Read more...
It was just back in November when Intel officially launched its Frost Canyon NUC 10 family powered by 10th generation Comet Lake-U processors. But today we're already getting a look at their successors, and as you might imagine, they're powered by Intel's next-generation Core architecture. According to a fresh leak from FanlessTech, Intel will be releasing Panther Canyon and Phantom Canyon NUC 11 machines, and both will be powered by 11th generation Tiger Lake-U processors complete with Intel's much ballyhooed Xe graphics architecture. Panther Canyon is the more "mainstream" NUC 11 and will be spec’d accordingly: Processors: Tiger Lake-U (28w)... Read more...
Last week, we brought you news of an alleged new Xeon-based NUC coming from Intel that is being developed under the codename Quartz Canyon. This would be the first in Intel's long line of NUC small form-factor PCs to feature a Xeon-class processor. Now we're learning of another new NUC in the pipeline, and it's called Phantom Canyon. Phantom Canyon will reportedly be powered by Intel's upcoming Tiger Lake processor architecture (4 cores, 8 threads), which is a 10nm+ successor to the Ice Lake processor that are just now rolling out of the gate. Tiger Lake will again have a new CPU architecture, and more importantly, it will feature Intel's new Xe graphics core. Intel Hades... Read more...
