According to a new leak, PepsiCo has signed an agreement with an unknown vendor in China to produce a Pepsi-inspired smartphone. While the vendor is unknown, the leak does help give us some idea of what the phone is all about. For those wanting high-end specs, this phone fizzles. It's a mid-range option that uses a 1.7GHz MediaTek SoC and is backed by 2GB of memory and 16GB of storage. Samsung can't seem to separate itself from drama surrounding its smart TV platform. It started with recent complaints that its TV voice recognition software was eavesdropping on living room conversations, and now users are complaining that Pepsi ads are running when they're not supposed to, like when watching locally stored content through Plex.
