It's certainly more affordable than an actual McLaren—the asking price is $699, versus the British automaker's recently announced 720S Spider, a sexy convertible that starts at $315,000. The new OnePlus 6T McLaren is a "salute to speed" and a nod to McLaren's rich history. It features a carbon fiber pattern on the rear of the handset, inspired by McLaren being the first to use carbon fiber in its Formula 1. There's also some orange coloring on the bottom of the phone. Late last month, we reported that OnePlus was working in conjunction with sports car manufacturer McLaren to create a special version of the newly released OnePlus 6T. Today, we're getting our first look at the device: the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Promotional images of the device have turned up online and they show that the actual design of the McLaren Edition hasn't changed compared to its donor platform. However, there are highlights around the edges of the device that are finished in Speed Orange. The particular shade of orange should be instantly familiar to those that follow McLaren's road cars. According to a new leak making the rounds this morning OnePlus is working on a higher-end version of its OnePlus 6T flagship Android 9 Pie smartphone. The device will reportedly be called the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition and will have a whopping 10GB of onboard RAM. We've seen a handful 10GB Android phones announced over the past month, but this immense amount of RAM is by no means commonplace -- yet.
