Rather than release another pint-sized system with an Intel Atom processor and Nvidia Ion graphics running the show, Sapphire's upcoming Edge-HD3 Mini PC will roll with an AMD E-450 dual-core processor and integrated Radeon HD 6320 graphics. Credit goes to Liliputing for discovering the FCC page, which seems to have to have disappeared, but not before a few specs and several pictures could be pulled from the site. According to the original listing, the Edge-HD3 Mini PC supports up to 4GB of RAM and up to 500GB... Read more...

In fact, we aren't so sure that buying one today is the best idea; by the time tomorrow comes, it'll probably be out of date! Kidding aside, the company has teamed up with VIA to showcase a totally new Zbox at Computex 2011. The Zbox Mini-PC offers up a very compact form factor, VIA's Nano X2 dual-core CPU, and a "palm-sized" chassis that measures 13x13x5cm. This type of machine is obviously ideal for use as a home theater PC, or in cramped spaces where there's no room for a huge tower. The Nano X2 is available... Read more...

The machine was originally revealed at CES, but it has just now shipped to consumers in the U.S. It boasts a "green-centric" design, using up to 90% less plastic and consuming up to 90% less energy than traditional tower PCs. It's also using an Intel ULV CPU, which helps keep power drain to a minimum. The entire machine is in a 0.6L form factor, which... Read more...
