In case you haven't noticed, wireless carriers are fighting each other tooth and nail, and they're fighting over you. Yes, you! That's especially true of Sprint and T-Mobile, two companies that nearly merged with one another a few months ago, and are now bitter rivals, each trying to steal subscribers away from the other (along with Verizon and AT&T). If there's ever a shortage of glue, you can be pretty sure that Apple is partially to blame. When it comes to Apple products, teardown after teardown reveals that the glue-happy company isn't afraid to lather its mobile products with adhesive. We saw it recently with the iPad Air 2, and here again with the recently released iPad mini 3. It took the experienced folks at iFixIt half an hour just to pry their way through the glue that holds the glass digitizer assembly in place. Or sloppy, take your pick. Either way, the world got an early and presumably unplanned look at Apple's forthcoming iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 tablets. Both items were featured in screenshots for the iOS 8.1 iPad user guide that appeared within iBooks. If this happened to leak from any other source, we'd caution to take it with a grain of salt. However, this comes straight from Apple, and based on previous rumors and leaks, we're inclined to believe that the screenshots show the real deal. Barring... Read more...
