Intel has been busy with announcements this week, but one that was somewhat overlooked is rather interesting on its own: The chipmaker is building a fanless 2-in-1 mobile PC reference design powered by a new class of processor. The device is powered by Intel’s next-gen 14nm Broadwell processors--called the Intel Core M processor--that have been “purpose-built” for the 2-in-1 form factor. Intel is calling the Core M the most efficient processor in its history, and they’ll underpin a wave of fanless, fast, and incredibly thin laptops.
