You expect to see lots of product announcements at a show like Computex, but Acer is announcing a slew of them, starting with the previously-rumored Acer Iconia W3. The 8.1-inch (1280x720) tablet runs a full version of Windows 8 and comes with Microsoft Office pre-installed. It runs on an Intel Atom Z2760 chip and weighs in at just 1.1 pounds and 0.45 inches thick. Iconia W3 There’s an optional full-size Bluetooth keyboard, front and rear 2MP cameras, micro-HDMI, micro-USB, and 802.11b/g/n for connectivity. As far as the accuracy of rumors go, one good sign that you’re either spot on or really, really far off is if the company that’s the object of the speculation specifically asks you to remove information from your site. That’s apparently what happened with French site Minimachines, which leaked photos and specs of the Acer Iconia W3 tablet. Of course, this being the Internet, that information has already been widely disseminated. The W3 tablet looks to be an 8-inch device that runs Windows 8.
