One of the coolest things that gamers saw during CES 2018 was the original Xbox controller, known as "Duke", in the Hyperkin booth. The giant controller is making a comeback and you will be able to buy one at the end of March to scratch that retro gaming itch in your geek hands. Hyperkin says that the controller will sell for $69.99, which is more expensive than most Xbox controllers. The giant Duke controller was replaced early in the Xbox lifecycle with the Xbox S controller during the first generation of the original Xbox. Here’s the bad news: Hyperkin’s RetroN 5, a gaming console that incorporates and accommodates a host of vintage game cartridges, will be delayed until Q1 2014 because of some faulty pins that the company discovered on some of its packaged units. Thus, the console won’t be available until the holidays, so you won’t be unwrapping one and blowing your holiday days off ensconced in vintage gaming bliss. However, the good news is that the RetroN 5 exists, and you’ll be able to have one early next year.
