This morning  at the PAX East show in Boston, MA -- though slightly forbidden, we were able to steal some video footage of the infamous and forever anticipated Duke Nukem Forever.  Finally set to release in May 2011, the folllowing is early in-game footage of actual game play.  Ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum ("and yeah, he's all outta gum"), Duke is actually looking pretty slick and the baddies, well, they're looking bad, as you'd expect... 2K Games was allowing controlled 20 minute gaming sessions for show attendees.  Game play itself was a hoot as you'd expect, with lots of ridiculous weapons that handily made mince meat out of alien scum.  And so it seems, the... Earlier this week, Lenovo revealed a handful of new offerings. Today, we got a chance to see all of Lenovo’s latest products in person. Lenovo’s new IdeaPad U1 Hybrid with LePad Slate definitely had us excited earlier in the week, and it’s looking good in person too. This 2-in-1 device combines a slate with a Snapdragon processor and Android with a keyboard base and full Windows 7 functionality. The slate portion of the U1 Hybrid has a 10.1-inch panel and feels good in your hand. The base unit turns the slate into a laptop of sorts. Although we won’t see the IdeaPad U1 for a little while here in the States, we’re definitely anxious for this baby to hit the market.... Read more...

It seems like we've all been waiting for "the iPad killer." It's not that anybody thinks Apple's slate device needs to be knocked off its perch directly, but let's be honest, consumers benefit from competitive options to choose from, whether it be strictly on price or performance and innovation. 7 and 10-inch Android and Windows based tablets have been trickling out from various manufacturers over the past few months, though the pace of both development and release of these devices doesn't appear to be happening fast enough to keep pace with Apple this holiday season.  Sure, Samsung stepped up with some significant buzz for the Galaxy Tab, but in a lot of ways the total solution...
