It looks as though more Turing GPU rumors are starting to filter out into the wild, and the latest revolves around the release schedule for NVIDIA's next generation GPU family. As with all GeForce GTX 11 Series rumors that we've heard over the past few months, we'll have to take this latest report with a big spoon of salt given that NVIDIA itself has been tight-lipped about the products. The new report revolves around an email that was allegedly shared between an NVIDIA board partner and a retailer that will be selling the GeForce GTX 11 Series to customers. According to the email, the tentative launch schedule goes as follows: GeForce GTX 1180 on August 30th GeForce GTX 1170/1180+... Read more...
One of the worst kept secrets in tech right now is that NVIDIA is preparing to launch its next-generation Turing GPU lineup for gamers. The company is scheduled to talk about those GPUs at the Hot Chips conference next month, and it's conceivable that Turing might launch before then. Until then, we are left to sift through the rumors and leaks, even the sketchy ones, such as a supposed screenshot of a next-gen GeForce GTX 1170 putting the beat down on a current-gen GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in 3DMark. It seems as though every few weeks we hear additional rumors about NVIDIA's next-generation GeForce GTX graphics card family. The latest report suggests that the first of these new gaming cards, the GeForce GTX 1180, will arrive in July.  This information comes courtesy of Tom's Hardware, which claims to have confirmed the launch date with industry sources that are privy to NVIDIA's plans. The July launch is strictly relegated to NVIDIA’s own GeForce GTX 1180 Founders Edition cards. Custom versions of the GeForce GTX 1180 will come from NVIDIA's third-party partners sometime in August, or September at the latest. If all goes according to plan, mobile version of the new GeForce... Read more...
Two years after the launch of Pascal, the gaming community is eager to see what NVIDIA has in store for its next generation of graphics cards. Luckily for us, SK Hynix may have just given us some additional insight into when NVIDIA's upcoming consumer graphics cards – which include the GeForce GTX 1180 and GTX 1170 -- will launch thanks to comments that were made at GTC 2018. SK Hynix told Gamers Nexus that mass production of its GDDR6 memory (operating at speeds of at least 16Gbps) will take place within the next three months, which puts us on target for June/July. NVIDIA's next generation consumer GPUs are expected to use GDDR6, so we're probably looking at a July announcement at the... Read more...
