Ubisoft is letting gamers play For Honor free starting today and running through Sunday or Monday, depending on your platform, during which time you can also purchase the title for a deep discount. The sale actually runs longer than the free weekend, so you have some time to decide if you want to keep playing, or move onto something else. Gamers have grown frustrated with Ubisoft over currency issues and matchmaking problems in For Honor, the hack-and-slash fighting game that released to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles and Windows PCs last month. In an attempt to get the company's attention, a Reddit forum user has organized a mass boycott where For Honor players will refrain from playing the title for 24 hours. "The goal is to receive a response from Ubisoft, something that tells us to maintain our faith in the game. Below is a list of reasonable requests and suggestions made by the community that I have noticed. With a game entitled For Honor, you would think that gamers would in fact show some dignity and honor when it comes to playing. However, that might be a little too much to ask, as Ubisoft earlier this month said that it would begin cracking down on what it calls AFK Farming. In case you didn’t know, AFK stands for “Away From Keyboard” and in For Honor, AFK Farming refers to gamers who use sneaky methods to earn in-game loot. Gamers have been known to tie rubber bands around their control stick to allow the in-game character to continue moving while they go off to do other things.
