Bethesda launched a very popular mobile game called Fallout Shelter, and as tends to happen anytime a game gets that popular, there were copycats. Most notably the Westworld Mobile game from Warner Brothers based on the hit HBO series of the same name seems to have too many things in common with Fallout Shelter. When Westworld Mobile launched, players and critics quickly noticed that it looked and felt very much like Fallout Shelter, so much so that Bethesda filed suit against Warner Brothers and developer Behavior Interactive in June 2018, alleging copyright infringement among other things. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? It appears that Bethesda and Behaviour Interactive have had a falling-out. Bethesda is suing Westworld mobile game publisher Warner Bros. and developer Behaviour Interactive for mimicking Fallout Shelter. Fallout Shelter is a free-to-play mobile game that was developed by Bethesda Game Studios and Behaviour Interactive. Players must build and manage their own fallout shelter or “Vault”. Fallout Shelter was initially released for iOS in June 2015 and is now also available on Android devices, Windows, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Bethesda's been teasing a major update to Fallout Shelter for the past month, Update 1.6, which will bring the popular mobile title to the PC platform. In the days leading up the update's July 14 (this Thursday) launch, Bethesda has taken to Twitter with catchy rhymes to hype the release of what it says it will be the biggest update ever to the game."Five days until you're besting the questing with Fallout Shetler's biggest update," the official Fallout account (@Fallout) posted to Twitter on Saturday. We don’t say it because it’s a bad game; it’s such an addictive game that it will easily rob hours from your day as you wield godlike powers over your Dwellers. Just over month ago, Bethesda quenched the appetites of longtime Fallout fanatics with gameplay footage of Fallout 4. But that wasn’t all that Bethesda had in store for fans, it also released Fallout Shelter, a mobile app which lets you take charge of your own underground nuclear shelter. At the time, the Fallout Shelter was only made available for iOS users, but that will change come August 13th. On that date Bethesda will make the game available to Android users as well.
