Zotac Injects Zbox Series with USB 3.0

Zotac today announced its first Zbox series of mini-PCs equipped with USB 3.0 technology -- the Zbox ID41 series. The boring name belies what's a fairly sexy nettop, made even more so with the addition of SuperSpeed ports (two on the back panel). There's also four USB 2.0 ports (two on the back, one on the front, and one on the top panel).

"External expansion is vital with mini-PCs. By adding SuperSpeed USB 3.0 technology to our award-winning Zbox mini-PCs, we are able to offer external connectivity capable of speeds up to 5Gb/s," said Carsten Berger, marketing director.

Other notable features include:
  • Intel Atom D525 dual-core processor
