Western Digital Adds Svelte My Passport Edge External Hard Drives to the Family
Western Digital added to its My Passport family of external hard drives today with the My Passport Edge and My Passport Edge for Mac, a pair of portable drives that sport USB 3.0 interfaces and fast read/write speeds.
The devices are slim and sleek, designed to be attractive and portable, and they measure just 4.4x3.37x0.4 inches (LxWxD). WD included security features such as password protection and hardware encryption to ensure that if there’s a theft or loss, user data is safe.

The Mac version ($119.99) ships with Time Machine support baked in, and the PC version ($109.99) has WD SmartWare, so in either case the drives are ready to be configured for backups. Both come in capacities of 500GB.
