Walmart Kicks Off Deal Season With Heavily Discounted Nintendo Switch Bundle
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are still a few weeks away, in terms of where each one falls on the calendar. But as for the discounts that each ones bring, they are already starting to roll as retailers look to get a jump on the annual sales bonanza. So it goes for Walmart, where you can pick up a Nintendo Switch bundle at a tantalizing discount right now.
Over at Walmart, there is a "Build Your Bundle" offer happening. You begin by selecting a Nintendo Switch console, either the version with neon blue and red Joy-Con controllers or the one with gray controllers. Then the last bit is an Ematic Type-C to HDMI + USB + card reader accessory. The bundle sells for $329.00, which is down 14 percent ($51.99) from its regular selling price, if you were to buy these parts individually.
According to the picture of the retail box on the bundle's product page (mostly red packaging), this is the newer revision of the Nintendo Switch, the one with improved battery life. It's not any faster that we are aware of, but Nintendo managed to bump the battery life from 2.5-6.5 hours in the original model, to 4.5-9 hours in the revised version.
Nintendo is not known to offer big discounts, so this is a notable deal. We'll have to wait and see what further discounts get offered for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
