EA's popular life simulation game called The Sims 4 has been around for half a decade now, and the game is available on PS4, PC, and Xbox. As the years went by, rather than spend time building a new Sims game, EA has added new content packs to bring new features to the game for fans to enjoy. A new expansion for the game has an official trailer and launched today.
The Sims 4: Realm of Magic will launch on September 10, which is today, for PC and Mac. The expansion will launch on October 15 for console gamers. The video below is the official trailer for the Realm of Magic game pack. The game pack will allow players to go to Glimmerbrook, which is described as a quiet town with family homes and places to hang out.
Glimmerbrook has a densely wooded area with a mysterious pathway for exploring. Once players step through the portal to the magic realm, they can find people willing to teach them spells. A giant cauldron allows the players to collect elements to make potions. Players can also test skills against other spellcasters in the realm.
The game pack brings plenty of clothing and accessories for players to collect. It's not precisely clear if players can learn spells in the Glimmerbrook world and bring those spells back into the normal world. Players will be able to make potions to get other characters to do things like fight or fall in love. There are also quests to give players things to do in the magical world. EA was giving away The Sims 4 base game, which is required to play the game pack, for free in May. The Sims 4 launched on PC in September 2014.
