Action From Halo 5: Guardians Warzone Firefight

Halo 5: Guardians’ Warzone multiplayer mode is one of the main reasons gamers keep coming back to the title. The large maps and intense action are one of Halo 5’s mainstays. But in an update due to be released soon, 343 Games and Microsoft are kicking things up a few notches and introducing a new mode, dubbed Warzone Firefight, that takes the multi-player Warzone concept and scales it up to what they’re claiming is “the biggest Halo cooperative experience ever in franchise history”.

In Warzone Firefight mode, up to eight players can work together in a co-operative effort to complete five rounds of objectives, which get increasing more difficult as you progress through them. In addition, the team is also fighting against the clock -- a timer adds another layer of complexity to the action. You can get a taste for how intense Warzone Firefight can be in this epic gameplay trailer that was just released...

Not only does Warzone Firefight introduce a new gameplay mode to Halo 5: Guardians, but a new “Mythic” tier of enemy bosses is inbound as well. Warzone Firefight also gives gamers the ability to leverage all of their REQ System, including all armor, vehicles, weapons and power-ups, etc.

An exact release date wasn’t given, but the Warzone Firefight DLC is expected to hit Halo 5: Guardians on the Xbox One this summer.
