Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star DLC Gameplay Trailer Features Chewie, Bossk And Epic Space Battles
“Battle Station” is the latest game type in Star Wars Battlefront. In this DLC, teams first fight with X-Wings and TIE Fighters -- the rebels then land and assault the Death Star. The battle ends when one of the teams heads down to the trenches and blows the Death Star up. There is no word yet on whether Obi-Wan Kenobi will encourage players to use the force while they blow the sucker up.
X-Wings and TIE Fighters have been available since the game’s release last November, however, the multi-modal nature of Battle Station is new. Many players disliked the game’s lack of space battles. After all, what Star Wars fan has not dreamed of manning the Millennium Falcon like Han Solo or battling the Empire in a X-Wing like Luke Skywalker.
The latest DLC also introduces two new characters. Gamers will now be able to play as the famous Chewbacca with his powerful bowcaster and the notorious bounty hunter Bossk. In the trailer Bossk exclaims, “Time to hunt”.
The Death Star DLC will be available Tuesday, September 20th for those who have purchased the Season Pass. For everyone else, the DLC will arrive two weeks after. The season pass is $50 and individual modules are $15.
Death Star is the third Star Wars Battlefront DLC. The first DLC “Outer Rim” included battles in the factories of Sullust and Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine, while the second DLC “Bespin” incorporated hunts in the Cloud City of Bespin. The fourth and final DLC is rumored to be themed around Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and expected to launch around the release of the movie, December 16th.
