Xperia XA2 Ultra Leak Shows Sony Still Likes Big Bezels And It Cannot Lie
Unfortunately for those that were hoping to see a big shift in design direction for Sony's smartphone family, the Xperia XA2 Ultra appears to stick pretty closely to the Japanese company’s current conservative design language. Apparent leaked images of the smartphone come courtesy of SlashLeaks, and show a device with huge display bezels. Given the current trend to minimize display bezels to improve pocketability and aesthetics, this is likely to be a disappointment for long-serving Xperia fans.
Despite the massive bezel above the display (which house dual cameras and other sensors) and the bezel below the display, the fingerprint sensor is still incorporated into the rear of the Xperia XA2 Ultra.
On the specs front, the Xperia XA2 Ultra is rumored to incorporate a 6-inch Full HD (1080p) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and a microSD card for expansion. In addition to the aforementioned dual selfie cameras, there's also a rear 21MP camera.
The leaked images also confirm that the Xperia XA2 Ultra will launch out of the gate with Android 8.0 Oreo, which is a big plus for those that don't like waiting to receive the latest mobile OS release. However, we must say that Sony is usually pretty good about pushing out the latest Android updates for its smartphones, including early beta access.
