Samsung Unveils Galaxy Grand Smartphone, A 5-Inch Beauty

Samsung on Tuesday expanded its Galaxy line with the introduction of the Galaxy Grand, a smartphone that's being marketed towards "users with fast-paced mobile lifestyles" and who "demand more from their phone." The sleek looking devices reflects Samsung's penchant for larger size screens with a spacious 5-inch display.

It also includes a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB built-in storage (expandable via a microSD card slot), 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, 8MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and more, all packed into a svelte chassis that measures 76.9mm x 143.5mm x 9.6mm and weighs 162g.

Samsung will ship the Galaxy Grand with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, along with the latest version of Samsung Hubs. There will be two models to choose from, including a dual SIM version (GT-I9028) that will launch first and a single SIM version (GT-I9080) to follow. With the dual SIM version, users will be able to manage two phone numbers from a single phone.
