Samsung Shoots for Audio Bliss with 'Your Sound' Line of Wired Headsets

Samsung is a company best known for its Android smartphones, high definition television sets, and storage devices, but audio products? Apparently Samsung dabbles in audio gear as well, and to prove it, the company sent us a note announcing its new family of "Your Sound" wired headsets.

Samsung EHS-60 "Serious Sound"

The new line consists of four different earbuds designed for music, video, and gaming "with exceptional audio quality." It kicks off with the EHS-60 "Serious Sound" ($20) an entry level set of gel-based earbuds with background noise isolation and an in-line microphone and answer key for making/receiving phone calls.

Next up is the EHS-63 "Active Sound" ($50), a hybrid headset designed for fitness gurus. It sports a dual-speaker design, one open-air and one in-ear, so you can rock out to your favorite tunes while doing things like hiking without getting blindsided by a grizzly bear. Should the bear give chase, the EHS-63's silicone ear cushions purportedly provide a secure fit and will stay in place as you go bounding through the woods.

Creeping towards the higher end is the EHS-70 "Massive Sound" ($80), a premium set of earbuds equipped with Dynamic Receiver Speakers, which Samsung says provide excellent reproduction of high frequencies and volume. They're made of a full aluminum alloy body and sport a stylish black and silver motif. Samsung says gamers and music lovers alike will appreciate the headset's anti-tangle core and super-soft silicone ear cushions. The EHS-70 come with a leather carrying case.

Samsung EHS-73 "Refined Sound"

Finally, there's the EHS-71 "Refined Sound" ($130), a "superior in-ear wired headset that delivers exceptional noise isolation, accurate, clear natural vocals, detailed highs and deep powerful bass without distortion" This one's designed for audio snobs and features lightweight aircraft aluminum materials. This too boasts an anti-tangle cord and comes with a leather carrying case.

The EHS-60 and EHS-63 are both available now via The other two -- EHS-70 and EHS-71 -- will start shipping in February.
