Samsung Shipping Hybrid Hard Drives
The blokes at the inquirer have pointed out that Samsung is now shipping laptop hybrid drives to its customers:
"The MH80 series comes in 80GB, 120GB and 180GB sizes. The 2.5-inch drive has 128 or 256MB of flash memory and combines mangetic [sic] optical characteristics. Samsung claims it will give faster boot and resume times, better reliability and increased battery life."
Samsung also manufactures desktop hard drives, but no word on when they will go hybrid. Somebody please cue the Jeopardy theme song.
