Samsung Reveals Phone-Less Galaxy S 4.0 And 5.0 WiFi Players

If the iPod touch is the iPhone without a phone, the Galaxy S WiFi is the same device over on the Android side of things. The company has just launched two incredibly sleek players in Korea, the Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 and WiFi 5.0. The only major difference is the screen size; the 4.0 has a 4" panel, while the 5.0 has a 5" panel. Both will have a 1GHz CPU and ship with Android 2.2, with the 4.0 shipping first in Russia and the 5.0 first in Switzerland. Both are expected to roll out to other nations shortly.

Essentially, these two players are similar to the Galaxy S smartphone, but there's no phone aspect at all. Of course, VoIP calls are still a go over Wi-Fi, and you'll still have access to all of Google's services so long as you can find a wireless Internet connection. They'll ship in 8/16GB models, but no pricing details are being released just yet. We have to say -- that 5.0 looks mighty awesome as a secondary device, and we're definitely hoping both of these make the jump to America.
