Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Revealed: 4.3-Inch qHD Display, 1.6GHz Dual-Core, Android 4.2

If it seems like Samsung's devices keep getting bigger, that's because they are. To wit, the Galaxy Note II features a 5.55-inch display that sits firmly in phablet territory, but it's not just hybrid devices that sport large touchscreens. The new Galaxy S4 wields a 5-inch display, a full inch larger than the original Galaxy S device introduced three years ago, and barely more than half an inch smaller than Samsung's flagship phablet. What's an Android fan to do if he or she doesn't want to go that big?

Well, you could shop a different device from another manufacturer, or hold out for the Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-I9190). Samsung fan and news site SamMobile received some inside information and pictures of the upcoming S4 Mini device, and if the leaked specs come to fruition, it will essentially be a slightly tamed version of the regular S4.

The S4 Mini is said to have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display with a pixel density of 256 ppi, 1.6GHz dual-core CPU, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean installed out of the box. For the sake of comparison, the regular S4 features a quad-core 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (some regions will receive an eight-core chip), 2GB of RAM, up to 64GB of built-in storage, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 4.2.2.
