Official Samsung Galaxy S10 And S10+ Renders Highlight Punch Hole Display And Triple Rear Cameras

Samsung Galaxy S10
It seems like hardly a days go by without another Galaxy S10 leak, and today is no exception. Now whether these are actual leaks or strategic (and controlled) ones by Samsung, we have no idea. However, one thing is becoming clear, and that is what the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ both look like, based on the latest round of press renders.

Samsung is planning to formally (and finally) introduces its Galaxy S10 family during its Unpacked event on February 20, along with a folding smartphone (beating Huawei to the punch by just a few days). As that date draws closer, we're seeing more and more leaked press renders, and the latest batch certainly looks legitimate.

We can see the rumored punch-hole design in the press render. This is to house the front-facing camera(s) on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, with the former having a single lens and the latter wielding dual cameras, both in the upper-right corner. Aside from the camera cutouts, these phones sport full front displays—there's no notch or bezels.

On the backside, we can see a horizontal row of cameras near the top. Based on the press renders, both models sport three camera sensors, which are supplemented with an LED flash. We're eager to see how the cameras on these phones perform compared to Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, which both take excellent photos.

One thing you won't find in any of the press renders is a visible fingerprint reader. The Galaxy S10 series moves the fingerprint reader underneath the display, which is a trick that Samsung has been working on for quite some time now.

Other details will have to wait. While not confirmed, Samsung is rumored to be launching at least three Galaxy S10 devices, including the Galaxy S10 Lite (5.8-inch display), Galaxy S10 (6.1-inch display), and Galaxy S10+ (6.4-inch display). We've also heard talk of a 5G Galaxy S10 variant, though most of the leaks have focused on the other three handsets.

All three are expected to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor for the US variants. Memory and storage configurations may vary by model, and specifically:
  • Galaxy S10+: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 512GB storage, 12GB RAM + 1TB storage
  • Galaxy S10: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 512GB storage
  • Galaxy S10 Lite: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage
It will also be interesting to see how pricing shakes out, as high-end handsets have gotten more expensive these days. In this case, rumor has it that pricing will range from 749 euros to 1,499 euros. That converts to around $860 to a bit over $1,700.
