Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear Land at AT&T on October 4
The Galaxy Gear is Samsung's first wearable smartwatch and is meant to be paired with the Galaxy Note 3. The Gear allows users to make hands-free calls and text messages using its built-in speaker. It also offers real-time notifications of phone calls, meetings you've marked on your calendar, text messages, and more. Whether or not users actually embrace the whole smart watch concept -- and an expensive one at that -- remains to be seen.
As for the Galaxy Note 3, it boasts a 5.7-inch Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) Super AMOLED display, 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, up to 32GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, 2MP front-facing camera, 13MP rear-facing camera, 3200mAh battery, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
