If Apple's newly announced MacBook Pro could talk, it would probably channel its inner Ron Burgundy and say, "I don't know how to put this, but I'm kind of a big deal. People know me. I'm very important."  And it wouldn't be wrong—as the first MacBook to sport an OLED display and also the first with touch support, it is indeed a big deal. That also means you're paying a premium compared to non-OLED and non-touch MacBook Pro models, though Best Buy has a couple of preorder offers to soften the blow.

Score A MacBook Pro PROLED XDR For As Low As $1,539 With A Qualifying Trade-In

First up, Best Buy is advertising a starting price of just $1,539 on the MacBook Pro PROLED XDR with a qualifying trade-in. That's presumably based on preordering the baseline configuration priced at $2,899 and then trading in a system that will fetch $1,360.

You'll obviously need something recent and potent to get an offer in the four-figure range. That said, the advertised starting price with a trade-in is actually a conservative one. For example, the trade-in value for a 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 Pro chip, 24GB of unified memory, and a 1TB SSD in working condition is $1,760, which would bring the touchscreen MacBook Pro's effective starting price all the way down to $1,139.

Not every device will command as much, or even hit four figures. Fortunately, Best Buy makes it quick and easy to get an offer—just input your device's serial number or find the model and configuration from a series of pull-down menus, answer a few questions about its condition, and see what the offer amounts to.

The other perk is a free $100 Best Buy gift card when preordering the MacBook Pro PROLED XDR, regardless of whether you're trading in a device or not. Also, the $100 gift card offer applies to all configurations and not just pricier ones.

To recap our prior coverage, beyond the fancy tandem OLED display with touch support, the MacBook Pro PROLED XDR is powered by Apple's M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, with configurations offering up to an 18-core CPU and 40-core GPU. Meanwhile, unified system memory (RAM) and storage start at 24GB and 1TB, respectively. If your pockets are deep enough, you can select up to 128GB of RAM and up to 16TB of storage, though be prepared to spend a small fortune.

Score Free Gift Cards When Preordering The iPad Mini And M6 MacBook Pro Too

While the touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro is arguably Apple's most interesting announcement this week, it's not the only new product. Apple also announced a refreshed iPad mini and an M6-powered MacBook Pro (without OLED or touch support), both of which come with free gift card offers as well.

The M6 MacBook Pro is available to preorder starting at $1,999, or as low as $639 (and potentially lower) with a qualifying trade-in at Best Buy. With or without a trade-in, Best Buy is tossing the same free $100 gift card offer at buyers who place a preorder.

If the newest iPad mini powered by Apple's A20 Pro is more your jam, preorders start at $699, or as low as $399 (or potentially even lower) at Best Buy. Either way, Best Buy is offering a free $50 gift card with iPad mini preorders.

Finally, Best Buy is also accepting preorders for Apple's new M6-powered iMac starting at $1,499, or as low as $1,339 with a qualifying trade-in. There's no gift card incentive, but if you have a trade-in, it's worth taking a look.
