Polaroid Readies Trio of Affordable Quad-Core Tablets Running Android 4.4 KitKat
There are three new tablets in all, including the Q7 (7-inch tablet), Q8 (8-inch tablet), and Q10 (10.1-inch tablet). All three come with built-in Wi-Fi, a "super-fast" quad-core processor, and the latest version of Google's open source operating system.
"Tablets are changing the way consumers use and share their favorite media and memories, and Polaroid’s robust line of tablets is allowing more consumers to share with on-the-go convenience," said Polaroid President and CEO Scott W. Hardy. "Our Q Series provides consumers with super-fast quad core processing speeds allowing for faster performance and less wait times when watching movies, or playing games. In addition the Q series’ sleek design and affordable price point make it a great choice."
Specific details are in short order, though Polaroid did say that each tablet features extended battery life, HDMI connectivity, Bluetooth, front-mounted speakers, and both front and rear cameras. The tablets will also be able to snag apps from Google Play.
No word on what resolution each tablet will run at, though with suggested price points of between $129 to $179, we're not expecting anything above HD here.
