PCMark 7 Gets Dated, Available for Preorder
Getting tired of staring at the same benchmarks every time you build a new PC or upgrade your gear? We have good news for you. Futuremark today announced that it will be releasing its PCMark 7 benchmark suite on May 3, 2011, which is less than three weeks away. As with most of Futuremark's software, there will be multiple versions to choose from, including a freebie build for penny-pinching braggarts. Here's the rundown:
PCMark 7 Basic Edition (Free)
Included in the suite is a "Lightweight" test designed for entry-level systems and mobility platforms unable to run the full PCMark test, so if you're rocking an older rig, you can still run PCMark 7.
For those of you interested in one of the more fleshed out paid versions, Futuremark is accepting preorders now.
