Oppo to Release Find 7 Smartphone with 5.5-inch Display on March 19
Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is planning a March 19, 2014 launch event for its upcoming Find 7 smartphone. Or should we say smartphones, as in plural? There's an interesting typo on a photo the company posted to Weibo, a Chinese version of Twitter, in which the company seems to indicate that there will be multiple versions of the Find 7.
The photo states "Find 7 [Are] Coming," and according to Engadget, it's a subtle hint of two different SKUs -- one sporting a 5.5-inch panel with a 2560x1440 resolution (538 pixels per inch) and a second with a 1080p display. It was previously hinted there would be a 1080p model, as a Find 7 benchmark with that resolution was spotted on GFXBench earlier this week.

Engadget claims to have confirmed the existence of two SKUs with its "own sources." While exact specs are not yet known, it's likely they'll differ between the two models beyond just the display resolution. As it stands, the 1080p model that appeared on GFXBench featured a Snapdragon 800 System-on-Chip (SoC) and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Equally interesting is the possibility that Oppo may end up offering a special edition CyanogenMod version at some point. Keep in mind that Oppo is behind the N1 with CyanogenMod.
