The race is on to figure out what
Nokia has in store for its Lumia line of mobile device. On May 14, 2013, Nokia will hold a press event in London in which "The Nokia Lumia story continues," according to press invites the Finnish phone maker has begun sending out to members of the media. On the left side of the invitation is barely visible text that reads, "See What's Next."
One remote possibility is that Nokia will unveil a Lumia 928 smartphone for
Verizon Wireless, though we've heard it's supposed to come out at the end of this month. Early info suggests the Lumia 928 will sport a 4.5-inch display and a Xenon flash on the back, but it won't have an aluminum body like the EOS and Catwalk (both also rumored) are supposed to have.
Speaking of which, the EOS and Catwalk are both also contenders for a press event next month. The EOS is rumored to include a whopping 41-megapixel camera, while the Catwalk is essentially a lighter version of the
Lumia 920.
Nokia might also decide to surprise the world with a Windows 8 phablet. It'd be an interesting albeit risky move since the demand for phablets is somewhat limited and dominated by Samsung.
