New iPad Sales Surpassed 3 Million Last Weekend, Apple Says

"Customers are loving the incredible new features of iPad, including the stunning Retina display, and we can't wait to get it into the hands of even more customers around the world this Friday."
Apple launched the iPad in several territories around the world, including the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, U.K., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Cupertino company will add 24 more countries to the list on Friday, March 23.
The new iPad maintains the same launch price as the iPad 2 and iPad 2, starting at $499 (16GB, Wi-Fi) and going up to $829 (64GB, Wi-Fi + 4G).
