Maingear Updates VYBE Gaming Systems With New Chassis, Faster Components, and Intel SRT

Maingear has just announced an updated line-up of game machines targeted at users on a budget. The newly revamped “VYBE” series of Maingear systems is built around Intel’s current socket 1155 Sandy-Bridge processors and features either P67 or Z68-chipset based motherboards and graphics cards from NVIDIA, although two of the new models are also customizable with options that include hardware higher-end CPUs, hard drives, memory and optical drives, in addition to a choice of custom color scheme.

The initial Maingear VYBE line-up consists of “S”, “SE”, and “SS” models. The $949 basic “S” model features and Intel Core i5-2310 CPU (overclocked to 3.3GHz / 3.7GHz Turbo), 4GB of memory, a 1TB hard drive, and NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 graphics. The VYBE S is not customizable at the time of order and ships the same day. The VYBE SE and SS are customizable, however, Maingear still offers a 3-day “quick ship” option. The VYBE SE ($1,129) and SS ($1,699) are built around Intel’s Core i5-2500 (overclocked to 3.7GHz / 4.1GHz Turbo) and Core i7-2600K (overclocked to 4.4GHz+), respectively, with the latter system offering liquid cooling and an mSATA SSD to take advantage of Intel’s Smart Response Technology.
