Lenovo Cranks Out L13 Yoga, L13, And T490 Laptops With Intel 10th Gen Comet Lake

Lenovo has tossed several new notebook computers onto the market, and the new ThinkPad T490 is among them. This machine can be fitted with up to 10th gen Intel Core i7 processors. The T490 is a relatively svelte machine measuring in at just 17.9mm thick, and with a starting weight of 3.2 pounds. Buyers can choose from several display types including a 500 nit, WQHD Dolby Vision screen or a 400 nit FHD display.

The integrated audio system includes Dolby Premium up-firing speakers, and the notebook has dual far-field microphones to improve conferencing audio. The large battery delivers up to 15 hours of productivity, and Rapid Charge tech allows it to deliver 80% capacity with an hour charge. The machine can be had with Global LTE-A wireless WAN and WiFi 6 Gig+ for LAN connectivity. Memory is up to 48GB and storage is up to 1TB PCIe SSD and Intel Optane SSD. The ThinkPad T490 starts at $1,129 and launches in October.

The ThinkPad L13 can be fitted with up to 10th generation Intel Core i7 processors. This machine is 17.6mm thick and starts at 3.06 pounds. Multiple screen options are available including a 300 nit FHD IPS touch display. Dolby Premium audio with a pair of down-firing speakers is integrated.

The battery offers up to 14 hours of productivity per charge, and Rapid Charge can top the machine up to 80% charge in an hour. Graphics are Intel HD; memory options include 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB options. Storage is up to a 1TB PCIe SSD, and a backlit keyboard is an option. The ThinkPad L13 launches in October starting at $749.

The Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga weighs in at 3.17 pounds and has a 13.3-inch Thin Bezel FHD IPS touch screen with 300 nit brightness. It offers 10th Gen Intel Core processors up to the Core i7 and uses Intel HD graphics. Memory options include 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB with up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage.

Up to 12 hours of battery life per charge thanks to the 46Whr battery and the machine supports Rapid Charge getting it to 80% capacity in an hour. A backlit keyboard is an option. The big feature of this notebook is the hinge that allows the screen to fold back for use in tent or tablet modes. The L13 Yoga will launch in October starting at $919. We learned not long ago that Lenovo was set to ship servers with EPYC 7002 Zen 2 CPUs.
