Leaked Images Of Pantech Breakout Appear

Word on the street suggests Verizon Wireless is preparing to launch quite a few handsets this month. The Pantech Breakout is expected to be among the phones launching this month. Now, thanks to leaked information, we know a little bit more about what this smartphone will offer.

The Pantech Breakout will be an LTE-enabled smartphone that is suppose to compete with some of Verizon Wireless's top of the line handsets such as the HTC Thunderbolt and Samsung Droid Charge. However, the rumored specs indicate the phone may fall a bit short in comparison to some of today's high-end phones. The Breakout is expected to have a 4-inch WVGA display, a 1GHz single-core processor, a five-megapixel camera, front-facing webcam, and 512MB of memory.

One of the Breakout's strong points is said to be its tethering capabilities. Reportedly, the phone will be able to act as a hotspot for up to 10 devices simultaneously over LTE. Like other manufacturers, Pantech has included its own custom Android UI with the phone. The Breakout is expected to launch any day now.
