HP Reveals Omen X 27 240Hz Display And Its First AMD Ryzen Gaming Laptop
HP is in Germany at Gamescom 2019, and at the show, it has unveiled several new gaming computers, displays, and other items. One of the most interesting of the gaming displays is the HP Omen X 27 gaming monitor. The screen has a native screen resolution of 2560x1440 at 240 Hz, and its thin bezels are designed to allow multiple display setups to have less gap between them.
The stand allows for tilt and height adjustment, and the screen has an anti-glare coating. The panel has true 8-bit depth, and the response time is 1ms with OverDrive and 3ms with OverDrive off. The screen has buttons on the back to keep the front clean and has a pair of USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Pricing and availability will be announced soon.
The HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC is designed to be a PC that can run AAA modern games with discrete graphics up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super or RTX 2070. The desktop machines can be fitted with up to 9th generation Intel Core i7 and Zen 2 Ryzen 3000 (third-generation) processors.
Storage options include multiple drive configurations with multiple hard drives, a PCIe SSD, or dual storage. HP offers up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and an enhanced thermal solution that keeps the desktop cool and quiet when gaming. The machine is sized to fit in just about any space, and it offers lots of connectivity. The front panel has power, headphone port, four USB 3.1 Type-A ports, a memory card reader, and a single USB Type-C port. The machine is also designed to be expanded as needed. The HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop is gaming ready with up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q graphics inside. It is HP's first gaming laptop to AMD Ryzen processors, and it offers PCIe SSD or dual-storage options for fast boot and app loading.
Audio is by B&O and includes dual HP speakers and HP Audio Boost. Connectivity includes a memory card reader, headphone/mic combo, USB-C port, Gigabit Ethernet port, USB 3.1 Type-A port, and HDMI 2.0 port on the right, and a power port and USB 2.0 Type-A port on the left.
