HotHardware Memorial Day Sweepstakes Winners!

A few weeks ago, we announced an exciting sweepstakes in which we planned to give away a full AMD Phenom X4 9750-based system, complete with dual Diamond Multimedia Radeon HD 3850 512MB graphics cards running in a CrossFire configuration, and an awesome, custom painted Smooth Creations case emblazoned with the good ol' Stars and Bars!  Two runners up would also win AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ processors.  The response we received after the announcement was awesome, with hundreds of new members joining our community, posting thousands of comments throughout the forums and news.

Well the dust has settled and we’ve picked the winners.  Are you ready for it?  Drumroll please...And the Winners are…

Grand Prize!: Crisis Causer

Runner Up:  FSeven

Congrats guys!  You've just scored a killer rig and some cool processors!  On a side note, as you all know we also asked that participants make a donation to the DAV if possible, in honor of the Memorial Day holiday.  We want to thank all of you that made donations - you all rock! As a token of our appreciation, we here at HotHardware will also be making a donation of our own to the DAV.

Our last few sweepstakes have been such successes, we'll be doing another similar giveaway very soon.  So stay tuned for the next announcement - it won't be long!

Marco's interest in computing and technology dates all the way back to his early childhood. Even before being exposed to the Commodore P.E.T. and later the Commodore 64 in the early ‘80s, he was interested in electricity and electronics, and he still has the modded AFX cars and shop-worn soldering irons to prove it. Once he got his hands on his own Commodore 64, however, computing became Marco's passion. Throughout his academic and professional lives, Marco has worked with virtually every major platform from the TRS-80 and Amiga, to today's high end, multi-core servers. Over the years, he has worked in many fields related to technology and computing, including system design, assembly and sales, professional quality assurance testing, and technical writing. In addition to being the Managing Editor here at HotHardware for close to 15 years, Marco is also a freelance writer whose work has been published in a number of PC and technology related print publications and he is a regular fixture on HotHardware’s own Two and a Half Geeks webcast. - Contact: marco(at)hothardware(dot)com
