Gigabyte Takes Aim at Budget HTPC Crowd with HD Motherboard Series
"The new Gigabyte HD motherboard series means our customers can get much more bang-per-buck from their value segment motherboards," commented Henry Kao, Vice President of Gigabyte Motherboard Business Unit. "Adding dual digital display ports to this segment really sets Gigabyte apart from the competition, raising the bar for value segment motherboard design."

Gigabyte so far is offering seven such motherboards, including the GA-Z77-HD4, GA-Z77-HD3, GA-B75M-HD3, and GA-H61M-HD2 for Intel users, and GA-F2A85XM-HD3, GA-F2A75M-HD2, and GA-F2A55M-HD2 for AMD users. All of these boards come with at least three display outputs -- D-Sub, DVI, and HDMI -- while the GA-Z77-HD4 adds a DisplayPort to the mix.
All seven boards also integrate Gigabyte's Ultra Durable 4 Classic technology, a fancy marketing term for built-in protection against humidity, electrostatic damage, power failure, and high temperatures using anti-surge ICs, and other specialized components.
While these boards target the value segment, Gigabyte has not yet announced any pricing information.
