Gigabyte is looking to take its cooling game to a new level. Having dabbled in air coolers, the company is launching a line of all-in-one liquid coolers with RGB lighting under the
Aorus banner. These are the first Aorus AIO liquid coolers, and they will be available in three radiator sizes, including 360mm, 280mm, and 240mm.
"The release of our ATC800 Cooler earlier this year was met with praise and we have followed through with a cooling solution for fans of AIO cooling," said Jackson Hsu, Director of the Gigabyte Channel Solutions Product Development Division. "The universal design for fan and pump RPM control allows for the new AIO coolers to work with motherboards from all brands."
As you might expect, the new coolers are compatible with a range of
Intel and
AMD sockets, including Intel LGA 2066, 2011, 1366, and 115x, and AMD TR4 and AM4 sockets. In other words, these coolers work with the latest processors from both companies, including Intel's
9th gen Core lineup and AMD's
Ryzen 3000 series CPUs.
Gigabyte claims its internal testing showed its coolers lowering temps by up to 7 percent better than other AIO coolers in the market, when running an Intel
Core i9-9900K CPU at 5GHz (and beyond) on all cores. While we have to take such claims with a grain of salt, it suggests the coolers will be up to the task of cooling Intel's upcoming
Core i9-9900KS, a special edition chip with a 5GHz all-core Turbo clock.
RGB lighting is a prominent feature of the new coolers. The coolers also sport an LCD cap on top of the Asetek pump with four modes to choose from: Enthusiast, Function, Custom, and Display Rotator. The latter can display CPU model information, temps, related fan performance data, and even custom images and text.
Gigabyte did not say when these coolers will be available to purchase and at what price points. Presumably they will be available soon. At the time of this writing, however, we could only find a product page for the 240mm version.
