Gigabyte Aero 17 Rocks 9th Gen Core i9, GeForce RTX, And NVIDIA Studio Street Cred

Gigabyte has launched its latest notebook computer and the machine is aimed directly at the content creators out there. The machine is called the Aero 17, and it has a 17-inch chassis in the same space as some other 15-inch offerings. The chassis is 2.1cm thick and offers a Nanoimprint Lithography embossed surface and CNC aluminum cutouts.

Cooling was a big deal for Gigabyte; the machine has two large fans that have 71 fan blades each combined with five full copper heat-pipes and 11 air intake/exhaust vents to keep the available Intel Core i9 octa-core processor cool. The Aero 17 has NVIDIA GeForce RTX Studio certification helping creators to edit 4K video and perform heavy 3D modeling tasks smoothly.

The notebook can be fitted with a maximum of 64GB of dual-channel Samsung memory and a pair of Intel 760P SSDs. Other features include Microsoft Azure AI to adjust hardware performance according to the program in use automatically. That helps creators to get right to work without having to manually adjust settings says Gigabyte. NVIDIA's Studio driver software helps ensure that the software is up to date and optimized at all times.

Connectivity options include three USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0, DP1.4, Thunderbolt 3, and an SD card slot. The SD card slot is meant for transferring large files and supports UHS-II making it 12 times faster than ordinary SD card readers. The 4K display in the laptop is individually X-Rite Pantone color-calibrated supporting 100% Adobe RGB color gamut. The screen is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. The machines ship with a color calibration certificate.

Power is from a 94Wh battery promising all-day productivity with up to 8 hours of battery life. Gigabyte will offer the Aero 17 in several versions, with the 4K display offered in the Aero 17 HDR Ya and Aero 17 HDR Xa. Lesser models get an LG FHD 144Hz IPS panel. All versions have a Killer Ethernet E2600 LAN chip and Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 chip. Pricing and availability are unannounced.
