Get Your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 on Thursday, August 16th--in the UK

We heard tell last week that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 would be available worldwide sometime in August. For the Brits at least, there’s now a more precise availability date: Thursday, August 16th. Samsung UK Tweeted that the new device will be available exclusively at the Westfield Brand Store in Stratford, but presumably, many other stores and locations will have the thing, too.

It’s possible that Samsung UK leaked the news a little early, as Samsung is widely expected to announce release details, including dates and pricing, at an event on August 15th.

For those excited by the stylus input afforded by the original Note but turned off by the smaller screen size, the Note 10.1 brings the best of both worlds. The big tablet will be available in WiFi-only, WiFi+3G, and WiFi+LTE with a 1.4GHz processor, 2GB RAM, up to 64GB of onboard flash storage, 5MP/1.9MP front- and rear-facing cameras, and USB 2.0.

Of course, the device will come with the S Pen stylus and the accompanying slew of Pen-optimized apps.
