Galaxy S5 Mini 4.5-inch Version Of Samsung's Flagship Coming Mid July

There are generally two things you can expect from Samsung year after year. The first is a new flagship smartphone -- this year it was the Galaxy S5 (see our review). And the second is a mini version of whatever its flagship device happens to be. Well, it just so happens that Samsung's predictably forthcoming Galaxy S5 Mini has been leaked to the web.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S5 Mini won't be as big of a mid-range downgrade to the Galaxy S5 as the Galaxy S4 Mini was to the Galaxy S4. Assuming the rumored specs hold true, you can expect the smaller size handset to rock a 4.5-inch 720p display powered by an unannounced Samsung Exynos 3 Quad (Exynos 3470) System-on-Chip (SoC) clocked at 1.4GHz.

It will also sport 1.5GB of RAM, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, LTE radio, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, IR Blaster, NFC support, GPS, and Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped in the latest version of Samsung's custom TouchWiz UI.

While there's no word yet on price, sources say the Galaxy S5 Mini will show up globally around the middle of July.
