Futuremark Develops Servermark Benchmarking Tool For Linux-Based x86 Servers

Today, Futuremark is expanding into the enterprise space with Servermark, which the company says is “a new benchmark that will enable IT professionals in businesses large and small to accurately measure and compare the performance of servers.”

Here at HotHardware, we spend a lot (a lot!) of time looking at products developed by Futuremark. Each laptop, desktop, and phone that we touch eventually runs through a suite of Futuremark benchmarks. By and large, the company has become the de facto standard across the industry, and a product cannot be fully evaluated until it has posted scores from a Futuremark product.

As for Servermark, the product is presently in development, and its inviting interested technology companies to join its Benchmark Development Program. Once complete, the software will be a “comprehensive benchmarking tool for x86-based servers running Linux and will be especially suitable for testing virtual machines.”

Technology companies interested in joining the Servermark Benchmark Development Program should call Oliver Baltuch on +1-408-614-2025 (PST) or email bdp@futuremark.com.
