Forget Black Friday, How To Score A Switch 2 For Below MSRP Right Now
It's the first day of November, and that means retailers will begin ramping up their holiday sales pitches as we get closer to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In recent years, the November-December period (and into January, really) has become an entire season of sales rather than an extended weekend event. We're not complaining either, because the consumer market has taken a beating amid rising component costs and upward adjusted MSRPs (read: price hikes). And if you're specifically looking for a Switch 2 console, we have good news.
Nintendo Switch 2 Hits $469 Ahead Of Black Friday
It remains to be seen if Nintendo and its retail partners will offer any worthwhile Switch 2 deals during Thanksgiving week, which is when the Black Friday sales kick into high gear. However, there is no need to wait—you can grab a brand new Nintendo Switch 2 handheld for $469 at Woot right now.
This is for the standalone console in its retail package, with all included accessories. While the standalone Switch 2 launched at $449 when it came out a year ago, Nintendo raised the starting price to $499. So, this deal amounts to a $30 discount over MSRP.
Woot, which is owned by Amazon, is very clear that this is a new system and not refurbished. It comes with all original contents, including:
- Nintendo Switch 2 console
- Joy-Con (L) in Light Blue
- Joy-Con 2 (R) in Light Red
- Nintendo Switch 2 AC Adapter
- USB-C Charging Cable
- Nintendo Switch 2 Dock
- Joy-Con 2 Grip
- Joy-Con 2 Strap (x2)
- Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable
The listing also specifies a 90-day Woot limited warranty, though we see no reason why Nintendo's 1-year warranty would not apply as well.
"If a product sold by Woot comes with a warranty, the warranty will be listed in the product details. A manufacturer or third-party warranty supersedes a Woot warranty in all cases when a manufacturer or third-party warranty is available, so if you are seeking warranty coverage please make sure you're pestering the right people," Woot explains.
While not a massive savings, scoring hardware for gaming at MSRP feels like a win these day, let alone any kind of discount at all.
While you're at it, here are some discounted Switch 2 games:
- Sonic X Shadow Generations: $34.99 (save $15)
- Dragon Quest VII Reimagined: $39.99 (save $20)
- Yakuza 0 Director's Cut: $32.99 (save $17)
- NBA 2K27: $49.99 (save $20)
- Reanimal: $29.99 (save $10)
- Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Day 1 Edition (Clearance): $43.99 (save $16)
- Little Nightmares III: $22.99 (save $7)
Though meaningful discounts on game consoles are rare these days, we do expect to see a bunch of games and accessories on sale as we get closer to Black Friday. We'll be tracking deals all season long, so be sure to bookmark us and check back often!
