Falcon Northwest Smitten with OCZ's RevoDrive X2 SSD
In case you missed it, we spent plenty of hands-on time with OCZ's new RevoDrive X2 Solid State Drive device and posted our evaluation last month (you can check it out here). Short and to the point, we walked away "completely and thoroughly impressed," and it looks like we weren't the only ones. Falcon Northwest, makers of high end gaming rigs, has now qualified the RevoDrive X2 for use in its Mach V and Talon series of desktops, OCZ tells us.

OCZ's RevoDrive X2 SSDs sport four (yes, FOUR) SandForce 1200 controllers underneath the hood to push read and write speeds up to 740MB/s and 720MB/s respectively, as well as 600MB/s sustained writes and 120,000 IOPS for random write 4KB (aligned). In other words, this is one fast family of SSDs.
