Dr. Mario World Comes To Android And iOS In July Looking Totally Addictive
For a long time, the only place to get Nintendo games and characters was on a Nintendo game console. However, Nintendo has been bringing some of its popular characters and properties to mobile devices with games like Super Mario Run and Pokemon Go. It's been a while since we've heard anything new from Nintendo on the mobile game front, but that is changing with Dr. Mario World.
Dr. Mario World will launch for download on Android and iOS devices on July 10, 2019. Gamers can pre-register for the game on both devices now. Dr. Mario World is a puzzle game that sees Dr. Mario trying to eliminate viruses. Players have to match capsules with viruses to make them disappear. All the player has to do is match three objects of the same color vertically or horizontally to clear them.
Players can play as Mario and friends in the game with hundreds of stages over different worlds, and Nintendo promises new worlds will come regularly. Characters include Dr. Peach, Dr. Bowser, and others each with their own virus-busting skills. Players can also utilize various assistants like Goomba, Koopa Troopa, and Buzzy Beetle that add additional skills to the game.
Dr. Mario World isn't just a solitary game; players can team up with others from around the world and send and receive stamina-giving hearts to use in stage mode. A versus mode has players challenging others in a one-on-one showdown. Dr. Mario World is rated E for Everyone, and the size of the download will vary with the device according to the Google Play download page. The game is supported with in-game purchases, but it is free to play. The game does however, require an active, persistent internet connection to play so those on a metered data plan might see charges.
