Digital Storm Takes No Prisoners with Hailstorm II Series of Gaming PCs
The Hailstorm II systems are wrapped in Corsair Obsidian 900D cases, and despite being loaded down by fans aplenty (the chassis supports up to 15), these rigs can handle up to four radiators (140mm to 480mm) for a killer liquid cooling setup.
For the true enthusiast (with a bottomless wallet), Digital Storm is offering configurations with up to four-way GPU, dual CPU, and dual PSU setups. To start, the Level 4 offers an Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition six-core processor, three-way NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan GPUs, and 16GB of DDR3-1866GHz RAM on an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme X79 motherboard. Storage is a 240GB Corsair Neutron GTX Series SSD and a 1TB storage drive. Liquid cooling comes standard.
Other features of the case itself include ten expansion slots, up to nine 3.5- or 2.5-inch drive mounts, four 5.25-inch drive bays, and two USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports.
Boutique builders often compete on price, trying to put out high-performing systems that undercut the other guy. This is not one of those situations. The Hailstorm II series is an example of a custom PC builder looking to dominate by loading systems down with the highest-end hardware possible.
