Excuse us while we wipe the drool off our keyboards. Dell just unleashed a beast of a monitor that’s geared towards financial traders and software developers. The Dell 43 Multi-Client Monitor (which we will reference to as P4317Q from here on out) measures 43 inches diagonally — as its name suggests — and can deliver crisp and clear Ultra HD 4K content (3840x2160 @ 60Hz).

The P4317Q features a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 and a brightness rating of 350 cd/m2. Viewing angles are listed at 178 degrees and response times are rated at 8ms. The 43-inch monster doesn’t disappoint on the connectivity front, as you’ll find a full-size DisplayPort 1.2, mini DisplayPort 1.2, dual HDMI 1.4 ports and a legacy VGA connector. In addition, you’ll find a four-port USB 3.0 hub to hook up your peripherals, while a RS232 connection allows for simple remote management. And even though most won’t care about audio capabilities, you’ll find a single headphone jack and dual eight-watt speakers.

But what makes the P4317Q so special is the fact that it also supports up to four independent 1920x1080 (Full HD) views (bezel free) on that honkin’ 43-inch display, which is made possible using Dell’s Enhanced Display Manager software. Dell says that this setup would be highly beneficial to software developers for multi-screen source code reading along with software testing from multiple machines on a single display.

"As the top monitor brand in the world for three years and in North America for 16 years running, we want to show our commitment to our customers by teaming directly with those who would benefit most from this monitor, specifically financial traders and software developers," said Bert Park Dell Global Software and Peripherals VP and GM. "The Dell 43 Multi-Client Monitor is a truly unique display that meets the diverse and dynamic needs of financial traders and software developers while also demonstrating ever-growing boundaries of innovation Dell is pushing."

The Dell P4317Q is available today at a not so cheap price of $1,350. But at least you’ll receive an Advanced Exchange Service and Premium Panel Guarantee warranty which lasts for three years.
