Dell XPS 15 2-In-1 (9575) Convertible Scheduled To Receive 32GB RAM Option This Fall

Back in March, we reviewed Dell's XPS 15 2-in-1 convertible, which we raved about for its excellent overall performance (including gaming), relatively thin and lightweight frame, and its premium build quality. We're now learning that the convertible could become even more enticing thanks to an incoming 32GB memory option.

The XPS 15 2-in-1 currently can be configured with either 8GB or 16GB of dual-channel DDR4-2400 memory that is soldered directly onto the motherboard. For those looking for a 32GB option, Dell hasn't been able to deliver for customers as it was awaiting an adequate supply of memory chips. However, that will change this fall according to a tweet from Dell VP Frank Azor:

This is good news for professionals that can't get by with "just" 16GB of RAM, and September is just around the corner.

The XPS 15 2-in-1 is available with either an 8th generation Intel Kaby Lake-G Core i5 or Core i7 processor, which features an AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL graphics on-package. The 15-inch display is available with either a Full HD Infinity Edge Touch Display or a gorgeous Ultrasharp 4K UHD InfinityEdge Touch Display (we tested the latter). You'll find up to a 1TB PCIe SSD onboard along with Killer 1435 802.11ac Wi-Fi and a 75Whr battery.

The Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 starts at $1,299 for a system configured with a Core i5-8305G, 8GB RAM, 128GB SATA SSD and a Full HD display. A fully decked out system with a Core i7-8705G processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD and 4K display will set you back $2,599.99.
